Its striking design includes the standard month, date and year, but in additon depicts the ancient eastern calendars, cosmological happenings, lunar cycle, traditional ‘rokuyo’ six-day Japanese calendar, eastern constellation system and sexagenary cycle (the twelve animal signs and five elements).
